In mid-March 2006 The Village of Hanover Park retained two divisions of NIU’s Regional Development Institute (the Broadband Development Group and the Center for Governmental Studies) to conduct an assessment of its Information Technology function and to benchmark the program against industry best practices and performance levels. The study is a three phase process including:

• Examine the present state of Information Technology in the Village
• Develop most likely scenario for future use of Information Technology
• Draft a Strategic Information Technology Plan
