Garage Sale Signs
Residential Real Estate Signs
Only one garage sale sign is permitted on the private property where
the sale is located. If the property is on a corner lot, two signs
may be displayed, one facing each street.
Signs may not exceed 6 square feet per side (for example, 2 feet by 3
feet), and may not be taller than 4 feet in height. Signs must
indicate the address and dates of the sale.
Off-site signs shall be permitted only on private property and only
with the consent of the owner. Signs must be removed at the
conclusion of the sale. Signs must be located on private property
(for example, inside the sidewalk). Signs in the public
right-of-way will be removed and disposed of by Village personnel.
Only one sign is permitted on the property being sold. If the
property is a corner lot, two signs are allowed--one facing each street.
The maximum size of each sign is 6 square feet. The sign must be
removed within 7 days of the closing. Signs must be located on
private property (for example, inside the sidewalk). Signs located
in the public right-of-way will be removed and disposed of by Village
personnel.
Realtors may place one open house sign at the nearest intersection to
the property. The sign must be placed on private property (inside
the sidewalk), and permission of the property owner is required.
Signs may only be displayed on Saturdays and Sundays between 12:00 pm
and 6:00 pm.
