New Ambulance Added To Fire Department Fleet

Hanover Park Fire Department has recently taken delivery of a new MEDTEC Mobile Intensive Care Ambulance from Foster Coach Sales and Service in Sterling, Illinois.

The unit cost $123,184 and replaces a 1995 ambulance.

The unit is equipped to provide advanced life support care and is staffed by a team of Firefighter / Paramedics.

The ambulance also carries an assortment of fire / rescue equipment including:

• Turnout Gear

• Self Contained Breathing Apparatus

• Equipment to perform outside ventilation

• Forcible Entry and Overhaul Tools

• Personal Flotation Devices and Ice Rescue Suits

• Bioterrorism kits

The ambulance is designated Medic 381 and will respond from
Fire Station 1.
