Information Technology
The Information Technology (IT) Department coordinates the
administration of the computerized systems of the Village including
software applications, PCs, servers, printers, network devices,
security, data backup and recovery and access to external networks such
as the internet and other government networks. The IT Department works
as a service organization serving the other departments within the
village to improve communication, streamline processes, lower costs and
gain the greatest return possible in technology investments. The IT
Department routinely evaluates emerging technologies to determine how
they can be utilized to improve customer service and lower costs.
The Chief Information Officer is responsible for the oversight of the
IT Department and is responsible for the technology and data functions
for the Village. These duties also involve providing technical
assistance to department personnel as well as execution of broad
technology policies of the Village.
