Recycling

The Village of Hanover Park encourages recycling, and efforts are coordinated through the Public Works Department by the Environmental Committee.

The following items are accepted for recycling at the Public Works facility, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.

      Electronics
      CFL and Fluorescent Light Bulbs
      Household Batteries (Alkaline, Ni-Cad and Lithium)

The Village cannot accept car batteries or household appliances.

The Village, along with the Environmental Committee, hosts an annual Household Recycling Event at the Municipal Complex.  Please see the Village Events and Calendar of Events pages for the date and time of the next recycling event.  In addition to the above mentioned items car batteries, bicycles, oil/anti-freeze, eye glasses, keys, fire extinguishers, US Flags and ink jet cartridges are also accepted.  Document shredding is also offered.
