As of July 1, 2015 the Village is no longer able to accept electronic recycling. We apologize for the inconvenience.
The current vendor was non-responsive and there is very limited space for storage of recyclable items while a vendor is located. The Village will continue to look for a vendor that can provide this service to the residents. The intent is to bring back electronic recycling as a service to the residents as soon as possible.
Recycling is an important part of a strong sustainable infrastructure and the Village has worked diligently to provide this service. This interruption in service is unfortunate, but is only a minor setback toward building a sustainable future the Village can be proud of.
The following items are still being accepted for recycling at the Public Works facility, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:30 pm.
CFL and Fluorescent Light Bulbs
Household Batteries (Alkaline, Ni-Cad and Lithium)
The Village, through its Environmental Committee, will host an annual Household Recycling Event at the Hanover Park Metra Station on Saturday, September 26th. Click here
