  1. Village Board Meeting

    October 1, 2020, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Hanover Park Village Hall

    The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. and continue until the agenda is completed. Regularly scheduled meetings are the first and third Thursday of each month. The Village Manager presents agenda items for discussion and approval for implementation before the President and Village Board. The President and Board of Trustees vote on the agenda items. All meetings are open to the public. Residents can address the Village Board with questions or concerns on issues not on the published agenda during the Townhall portion of the meeting. Residents who wish to address the Village Board during the Townhall Session must register with the Village Clerk prior to the start of the meeting.

  2. Fire Department Open House- Canceled

    October 3, 2020, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM @ Fire Station Number 1

    Each year, the Fire Department hosts an Open House which allows residents an opportunity to see a demonstration of various equipment in the Fire Department, as well as receive information on fire prevention. Event attendees are welcome to participate in many of the open house activities and educational demonstrations, all focused on fire prevention and safety techniques. Activities include a tour of Hanover Park Fire Station where attendees could see how the fire station operates, special search and rescue dogs, fire safety activities, crafts, and even the opportunity to dress like a firefighter for the day. This year the Hanover Park Fire Department is excited to show off new Tower Ladder 15, as well a live sprinkler demonstration.

  3. Adjudication Hearing- Parking Tickets and Village Ordinances

    October 6, 2020, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM @ Hanover Park Village Hall

    Beginning May 1, 2014, the Village of Hanover Park began utilizing an adjudication process for the mediation of all parking and local ordinance tickets. If you are a resident and receive a parking ticket, on the ticket is a hearing date should you wish to be heard in regards to the violation. Hearings are held at the Village Hall, 2121 Lake Street, Room 214. Simply report on the date assigned and check in with the clerk. If you are a Non-Resident of the Village you may waive your appearance and submit an affidavit stating the facts or reasons for contesting the ticket. These forms may be obtained at the Police Department front desk. Please be advised if the Adjudicating Judge determines you are liable then a $100 court fee will be assessed on top of the initial fine of the ticket. VEHICLE IMPOUNDS AND RED LIGHT CAMERA VIOLATIONS AT 2PM. ALL OTHER VIOLATIONS ARE SET FOR 2:30PM.

    The Hanover Park Development Commission is a public hearing body that makes recommendations to the president and the board of trustees. The Commission utilizes the Village’s Comprehensive Plan recommendations to provide long-term policy direction. It conducts public hearings on all petitions for zoning variations, special uses, planned unit developments, rezonings (zoning map amendments), and text amendments. All meetings are open to the public.

The WBDC has offers satellite office hours at the Village of Hanover Park, at Village Hall, 2121 W Lake St, Hanover Park, EVERY 2nd Tuesday of the month between 10am - 3pm. Aisha McBurrows of the WBDC will meet with you, at no cost, to discuss start-up and business expansion.
