Sonya Crawshaw (Top Left)
Sonya Crawshaw served three terms as Village Clerk and three terms as Village President. She was active with the Hanover Park Lions Club and served as a Board member for the American Cancer Society. She also founded the Children’s Advocacy Center in 1990. The Hanover Park branch of the Poplar Creek Library is named in her honor.
Mickey Boardman (Top Right)
A writer, socialite, philanthropist & media personality, Boardman served as Editorial Director for Paper Magazine from 1993 to 2023. He is an institution on the New York social & fashion scenes. For the past 15 years, he served on the Board of CITTA, a charity, that builds schools, clinics, and women’s centers in India & Nepal.
Keith Semple (Bottom Left)
Former “American Idol” and “The Voice” contestant Keith Semple got his start on the British reality show, Pop Star: The Rivals. He became a member of the Boy Band, One True Voice before joining the Chicago rock band 7th Heaven. Semple is now working on a solo career with his own band, Semple.
Alma Foerster (Bottom Right)
Alma E. Foerster was an American nurse who began as a public health nurse in Chicago. During the First World War, she helped establish hospitals in Kiev, for which she received the Cross of Saint Anna. She was one of the inaugural recipients of the Florence Nightingale Medal in 1920.
