For Cook County, the team will begin south of Irving Park Road, north of Lake Street,
west of Barrington Road.
For DuPage County, the team will begin south of DuPage County Line, north of Stearns Road.
Hydrant flushing is vital to the routine maintenance of the Village’s water system. It improves water quality and flow, lubricates the hydrant's internal mechanisms, and helps identify any deficiencies to ensure that the hydrant performs when needed for an emergency.
Please do not wash laundry during the flushing hours as rust staining of clothing may occur. Residents with water softeners are encouraged to check the cycle time of their softeners, so that the unit does not generate during this period.
