Hanover Park Recycles! The Hanover Park Environmental Committee will be hosting their 11th annual Recycling Event. Stop by the Metra parking lot on September 21 between 9am-1pm and recycle those household items. Restrictions apply. No electronics taken.
Recyclable Items
Cell phones and ink-jet cartridges / Eyeglasses, hearing aids, and keys / CFL and fluorescent bulbs / Household batteries / flags Large lead-acid batteries (automobile, sump pump, SLA, and marine batteries only) / Motor oil and antifreeze / Clean, usable child and adult clothing / Fire extinguishers and scrap metal / Working bikes, books, records, musical instruments, Brita & Pur filter/ Personal documents for shredding (service is free; No businesses. No hard covers, binders, binder clips, or books. Staples and paperclips OK)
Unacceptable Items
No electronics accepted / Paint / Large appliances (such as refrigerators and ovens) / Oil filters / Needles / Prescription drug box
