CMAP Talks: An International Women's Day Discussion
Join us on International Women’s Day to discuss how COVID-19 exacerbated economic challenges for the region’s women and how we can collectively address those challenges. Women and women of color are disproportionately vulnerable to job loss and are dropping out of the labor force to manage family responsibilities during the pandemic. Tune in to this roundtable discussion of what an economic recovery means for women and how we can choose to challenge structural inequities to build stability and opportunity for these workers and their families.
Our panelists for International Women's Day include Congresswoman Lauren Underwood, Dr. Helene Gayle (The Chicago Community Trust), Karen Freeman-Wilson (The Chicago Urban League), Noreen Sugrue (The Latino Policy Forum), and moderator Erin Aleman (CMAP).
