The Village of Hanover Park’s Road resurfacing program started Monday, June 28! We are starting with sidewalk and curb and gutter removal which will allow for ADA accessibility upgrades and drainage improvements. Residents whose street is part of the resurfacing project were sent notification detailing what to expect during construction.
With any construction project, residents on the affected streets may notice colored flags in the parkway along their street and paint marks along curb and sidewalk. We ask residents to leave the flags in place during construction as these mark underground utilities for the contractor.
Construction progress continued this week with the Village's Resurfacing Program. Concrete curb and gutter work along with sidewalk at intersections were removed and replaced to meet current ADA requirements. Storm sewer inlet improvements will also be taking place during this time. Crews are currently working north of Irving Park Road and will be making their way south in the coming week(s).
For the duration of the project, residents will retain access to their street and driveway though minor delays may occur. If you have any questions regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works for additional information at 630-823-5700
