Engine 16 is a 2022 Pierce Enforcer assigned to Fire Station 16 where it functions as a full-service engine company as well as being paramedic certified and Advanced Life Support (ALS) equipped.
The large 84” cab provides comfortable internal storage for required medical equipment and external storage for firefighter protective gear. The engine was custom designed to include a “clean cab” concept, which removes the need to store firefighting gear in the cab of the engine. The low and deep hose bed configuration feature improvements utilizing available space for attic ladder and pike pole storage. An extended front bumper will hold 100’ of 5” supply hose that is vital for water supply at a structure fire.
This ends a 3-year project from the design stage to building the new engine and putting it into service. This new engine will serve our department, firefighters, and the residents for many years to come.
