From severe weather to snow storms, the United States was affected by 18 separate billion-dollar weather and climate disasters in 2022. Luckily, Hanover Park only experienced a few severe storms, hail, high winds, and a couple winter storms last year. We were just a few miles shy of a few tornados that spawned from a Derecho that hit Northeast Illinois on 6/13/2022. Most residents only sustained a few downed trees, downed powerlines, and minor house damage. This Derecho storm impacted multiple states including Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin and caused over 3.2 Billion dollars worth of damage. Click Here for a closer look at the 2022 Disaster Map
