Happy 4th of July!
The Village of Hanover Park wishes you a safe and happy 4th of July holiday weekend! But remember: Save the Fireworks for the Professionals!
Please be respectful of your neighbors when celebrating and remember that ALL FIREWORKS are illegal in Illinois unless authorized by local jurisdiction permits for supervised public displays. Village ordinance prohibits any person to possess or offer for sale any firework (66-34) and it is unlawful for any parent or guardian to allow a person under 18 to possess fireworks (66-32.).
Officers will respond to these calls, confiscate fireworks and issue citations. Even though sparklers, smoke devices, snakes, glow worm pellets or trick noisemakers are not considered fireworks, please be aware they can still be dangerous. Let’s keep everyone safe this Fourth of July.
