Village Hall Closed Monday, July 5th

In observance of the Fourth of July holiday, Village Hall will be closed on Monday, July 5th.

The Village reminds everyone that in Illinois, ALL FIREWORKS are illegal unless authorized by local jurisdiction permits for supervised public displays. The term fireworks does not include sparklers, smoke devices, snake and glow work pellets, or trick noisemakers. Please beware that even these seemingly harmless devices can be dangerous. Misuse of them by children can create tragic situations.

Be safe this year, and save the fireworks for the pros!

We would like your opinions!

The Village of Hanover Park has contracted with the Center for Governmental Studies at Northern Illinois University to conduct a survey of residents. The survey will determine residents’ opinions of living in the Village, Village government provided services, and the areas the Village government should focus their attention on in the next three years. The findings of the survey will help the Village government plan for the future.

If your household is one of the limited number of households that is randomly selected to participate, please complete the survey. Your responses to the survey are very important to us.  Your responses will be confidential.  All information provided will be reported in summary form only.  No information will be reported that will identify individual survey respondents.

Thank you for your participation.

HELP KEEP CHILDREN SAFE – GET A FREE GUN LOCK AND USE IT!

The Hanover Park Police Department has partnered with the National Shooting Sports Foundation through its Project ChildSafe to help make our community and homes safer by providing FREE gun locks to anyone who asks for them.

More than 37-million gun locks have been distributed through local law enforcement agencies. The safety kits come with a free cable-style gun lock and safety instructions.  Simply come to the police department lobby and request one.

Remember, if you own a firearm, always make sure it’s secure.  Let’s keep our kids safe!
