Hanover Park Releases Labor Day Enforcement Numbers

Hanover Park- The Hanover Park Police Department made several arrests and issued more than 290 tickets during the Labor Day traffic safety enforcement effort and took the following enforcement actions:
- 9 DUI arrests
- 36 seat belt/child car seat citations
- 6 child restraint citations
- 22 no valid/suspended/revoked driver’s licenses
- 29 uninsured motorists
- 58 speeding citations
Hanover Park joined forces with more than 200 other local law enforcement agencies from Aug. 20 through Sept. 7 to get drunk and drugged drivers off our roads and encourage seat belt use. The effort featured high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities, including a media campaign.
The Labor Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign is funded by federal traffic safety funds from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and administered through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
