Hispanic Heritage Month
The Village of Hanover Park celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month. Mayor Craig proclaimed the month of September 15, 2021 through October 15, 2021 as Hispanic Heritage Month in the Village of Hanover Park to honor the members of Hanover Park's Hispanic Community during this special observance.
The observation of Hispanic Heritage Month began in 1968 and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to span a 30-day period, The Library of Congress, National Archives and Records Administration, National Endowment for the Humanities, National Gallery of Art, National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and United States Holocaust Memorial Museum all join in paying tribute to the generations of Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched our nation and society, and who have inspired others to achieve success.
