Hanover Park Announces Child Passenger Safety Campaign Numbers

Hanover Park- The Hanover Park Police Department issued more than 200 citations during its Child Passenger Safety Week enforcement campaign Sept. 17-30 including but not limited to:
- 5 DUI arrests
- 20 seat belt citations
- 4 child restraint citations
- 18 no valid/suspended/revoked driver’s licenses
- 14 uninsured motorists
- 28 speeding citations
- 19 tickets for distracted driving
The Hanover Park Police Department joined forces with more than 200 other local law enforcement agencies to increase awareness of proper child safety seat use and encourage all motorists to buckle up. The effort featured high-visibility enforcement combined with a variety of outreach activities, including a media campaign.
