COPS Day Picnic & Movie in the Park

The Hanover Park Police Department will be hosting the 24th annual COPS Day Picnic TONIGHT, weather permitting, Friday, July 15, 2022, from 5:00-8:30 p.m. with the movie beginning at dusk.

The picnic will be held at Springwood Middle School, 5540 Arlington Drive. Springwood Middle School is located on Arlington Drive approximately 1/2 mile south of Lake Street/US-20.

EssoFunk at Wednesday Night Live!

EssoFunk- The Chicago based ensemble perform a unique interfusion of Afro-Latin inspired compositions and jams. Influenced by the global troubadours and subversive thinkers of an emerging counterculture in the 70s and 80s, the band pays homage to the traditional and progressive while taking their own step forward. The rustic rhythms of Fela spiced with the textures of Fania blend with an improvisational ritual resembling the Funk Brothers; all from the streets that birthed house music.

2022 Infrastructure Improvement Project

The Village of Hanover Park’s Infrastructure Improvement Project has continued this week with the water main improvements on the north portion of Northway Drive and will continue southbound. In addition, curb and gutter and sidewalk replacement is underway on Briarwood Avenue and Mulberry Lane and will be followed by Linden Avenue, Poplar Avenue and Redwood Avenue.

With any construction project, residents on the affected streets may notice colored flags in the parkway along their street and paint marks along curb and sidewalk. We ask residents to leave the flags in place during construction as these mark underground utilities for the contractor.

For the duration of the project, residents will retain access to their street and driveway, though minor delays may occur. If you have any questions regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works at 630-823-5700 for additional information.

2022 Resurfacing Project Update

Concrete replacement throughout the project have been completed. Temporary access to driveways has been restored for vehicular traffic. Parkway restoration is in progress.

The next phase of the project will include pavement improvements (e.g., patching and resurfacing), which are anticipated to begin by late July.

The public will have access to the streets during construction; however, minor delays may occur. If you have any questions or concerns regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works at 630-823-5700 for additional information.
