2022 Infrastructure Improvement Project

Water main installation continues on Northway Drive from Hastings continuing southbound. Water main installation is scheduled to start this week on Church Street from Sycamore Avenue to Laurel Avenue in addition to the Northway portion of the project.  Spot curb and gutter replacement and sidewalk replacement are nearing completion on Briarwood Avenue and Mulberry Lane and will be followed by Linden Avenue, Poplar Avenue, and Redwood Avenue.

With any construction project, residents on the affected streets may notice colored flags in the parkway along their street and paint marks along the curb and sidewalk.  We ask residents to leave the flags in place during construction as these mark underground utilities for the contractor.

For the duration of the project, residents will retain access to their street and driveway though minor delays may occur.  If you have any questions regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works at 630-823-5700 for additional information.

A  map of Village streets being improved during the 2022 season is available on our website.

2022 Resurfacing Project Update

Parkway restoration, which includes new topsoil, grass seed, fertilizer, and erosion control blanket is in progress throughout the project. Rain will handle most of the watering, but the new grass can be sensitive in the first year of growth. Residents are encouraged to water and help the grass grow throughout the season.

The next phase of the project will include pavement improvements (e.g., patching, driveway repairs, and resurfacing). However, union strikes at multiple quarries in the area has limited asphalt production, which is delaying the project schedule. Pavement improvements will begin once the strike is over and asphalt production is back in operation.

The public will have access to the streets during construction; however, minor delays may occur. If you have any questions or concerns regarding construction activities, please contact Public Works at 630-823-5700 for additional information.
