Spooktacular House Decorating Contest: Register Today!

The Village of Hanover Park and Hanover Park Park District are looking for the best Halloween Decorated Homes in Hanover Park. By participating in the contest, your home will be placed on our Halloween Tour Map to lure unsuspecting visitors to your home to be scared! REGISTER HERE! (Registration through Oct 16)

People's Choice Award- Spookiest Home
Village Board Tour Award
Park District Award

The winner of the People's Choice Award, and Village Board will win a $100 gift card. The Park District Award will be gift basket. The winners and second place finishers will be featured in an upcoming Hi-Lighter newsletter. Winners will be announced Friday, October 28th.

Public Hearing on Illinois Route 390 Interchange Improvement U.S. Rt. 20 (Lake Street) to County Farm Road

The Village of Hanover Park in coordination with the Illinois Tollway is hosting a public hearing on October 4th for improvements to the Illinois Route 390 Interchange from U.S. Route 20 (Lake Street) to County Farm Road. The purpose of the meeting is to provide a study overview and review the project purpose and need. The examined and preferred design alternatives developed after the first meeting in 2019 will be presented.

The meeting will be conducted in an open house format and interested persons may attend anytime between 6:00pm and 8:00pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to view a video presentation, review exhibits, provide input on the preferred alternative and meet with project representatives.
