Mayor Craig's 2023 State of Village Address

Mayor Craig will highlight what took place in the Village of Hanover Park 2022 and what is in store for the Village in 2023.

Updated Illinois Smoke Detector Law Effective January 1

An updated Smoke Alarm Law went into effect in Illinois on January 1, 2023, requiring any new smoke alarm being installed within a single or multi-family home to be an alarm that features a 10-year sealed battery. Currently-installed alarms are exempt from the requirement and may remain in use until they exceed 10 years from the date of manufacture, as long as they are operating properly.
