Cicada Tips & Info

Millions of cicadas are beginning to emerge this spring from large broods in certain parts of the United States including Illinois. They can be very loud. The noise they make are the male cicadas trying to attract mates. Not need to worry however, they don't bite and pose no danger to people or pets.

Here are some tips from the Morton Arboretum to help protect your trees and shrubs.
