New Fire Station - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Lake Street Bridge Repairs begin Monday August 5, 2024

Construction will begin on August 5, 2024 on the Lake St. bridge over IL-390.

The State of Illinois will begin work on the Lake Street (U.S. 20) bridge over the Illinois Route 390 Tollway on Monday. You should expect delays and plan accordingly. The detour route and press release from the State of Illinois Department of Transportation are below.

2024 Resurfacing Project Update: 

This week the contractor began removing the asphalt on the south side streets.  They also continued saw-cutting to prepare for concrete work in the Hanoverian Estates neighborhood.  This work will continue next week. Bike lane markings on Church and punchlist items are the only remaining work on the north side streets. Residents who will lose driveway access due to the concrete removal will be notified before that starts. Contact Engineering at 630-823-5700 should you have any questions.
