Come out to this free event from the Cultural Diversity & Inclusion Committee to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

Fire Department Open House 


We hope you will stop by Fire Station #15 for a visit during our Annual Open House on Saturday, October 5th, between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.  

You will have an opportunity to see how a fire station operates and participate in fire safety activities.  Kids can practice being a firefighter and everyone can learn about "hands only" CPR.  You will be able to see lifesaving equipment and tools and talk and interact with firefighters.  The Hanover Park Fire Corps will be there to tell you about the important work they do for all of our local fire departments and how to become a volunteer.  You can meet and talk to our Emergency Management Coordinator to learn about weather safety.  Plan to come out for a fun-filled day and don't forget to bring your camera.  The event is FREE!

Fall Bush Pick-up Program

The Brush Pickup Program provides free curbside pickup and chipping of branches, which are then reused as mulch. Last year, the program produced 1,765 cubic yards of mulch which was made available free to Village residents for use around shrubs and flower beds. Brush will be picked up in April and October. Please note that it may take more than one day to pick up all of the brush in a designated area. If your brush has not been picked up on the first day, please be patient.

Brush must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. on the day of your scheduled collection date to avoid missing your cycle. Residents are asked to follow the collection schedule listed above and on the Village’s website at www.hpil.org

2024 Project Updates:

2024 Resurfacing Project Update: This week the contractor installed new asphalt roads in the Hanoverian Estate neighborhood.  The only remaining work on all streets is pavement markings and punchlist items.  

Hanover Highlands Watermain Replacement Project Update: This week the contractor finished installing all of the new watermain and began transferring services. Next week the contractor will continue transferring services.  While a service is being transferred, the resident will experience a short interruption in water service.  Residents will be notified prior to their water service being interrupted.
