Join Us Tonight for theTree Lighting Ceremony! Join us in kicking off the holiday season with our annual tree lighting ceremony. Visit our Winter Wonderland tonight at the Ontarioville Plaza from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Stop by Santa's Toy Shop, take a selfie with Santa, and meet his reindeer! Enjoy s'mores, hot cocoa & cookies, face painting, and mini train rides. The Partners for Our Communities (POC) will also be hosting a coat drive during the event. They will be accepting new or gently used coats, hats, or gloves as donations.

Help Archive Hanover Park's History! Join the Hanover Park Historic Committee this Saturday, December 6th for an archiving event. The Committee will be archiving pictures and newspaper articles that tell the story of Hanover Park's history. No experience is needed to participate. Visits with Santa in the GazeboWho is ready for a photo with Santa? Bring the whole family, pets included, to the gazebo in Ontarioville Park next Monday, December 8th or Monday the15th. Santa will be available for pictures from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Holiday attire is encouraged!

Holiday Solid Waste Collection Schedule
As the holiday season approaches, refuse collection days will be affected by the placement of the holidays on the calendar. During the week of Christmas, the collection date will be Saturday, Dec. 27. During the week of New Year’s Day, the collection date will be Saturday, Jan. 3. The final restoration and punchlist tasks will be completed in the spring. Arlington Drive Bridge Replacement Update: When weather permitted, the contractor worked to frame and install the reinforcing steel for the final wingwalls on the south side of the bridge. |

What's Happening at Your Local Library?Schaumburg Township District Library - Hanover Park Branch- Special Family Storytime with Hanover Park Mayor - Dec. 9 10:30 AM - 11:00 AM: Bring the whole family for fun with stories, songs, and an activity with Hanover Park Mayor, Rodney Craig.
- Crafternoon: Winter Scene - Dec. 10 3:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Drop in and create a beautiful winter scene while supplies last. Craft available to those 5 - 12 years old.
- Evening Movie Showing - Dec. 10 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM: Join the library in watching an evening showing of the movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. This is a PG movie with a 143-minute runtime.

Poplar Creek Public Library - Sonya Crawshaw Branch- Holiday Maker Market - Dec. 1 to Dec. 31: This year, the library will host a Holiday Maker Market. - Jolly Jingle Fest - Dec. 7 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM: Join the library for a fun, family-friendly winter celebration. There will be games for kids, prizes, photo ops, and even a visit from Santa (1-3 pm). No registration required.
