Promote Your Business at the 2018 Local Business Expo on Saturday August 11, 2018The Village of Hanover Park, C.O.N.E.C.T. Committee, Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Northwest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce are hosting the 2018 Local Business Expo as part of the Village of Hanover Park 60th Anniversary Family Festival! This all-day festival will include games and activities for kids, live music, food, drink and fund for the whole family.
Showcase your business with a booth in the Local Business Expo Tent between noon and 4 p.m. This is a great opportunity to promote your business to Hanover Park residents. At the Festival, stop by the Women’s Business Development Center table to learn about the assistance they can provide to help you grow your business.

Third Annual Business Resource Fair Survey Released
The Village is planning the Third Annual Small Business Resource Fair for Fall of 2018! Past topics have included business plan development, financing, social media and marketing, and strategic growth.
What topics would be helpful to you as you grow your business here in Hanover Park? Please complete a quick – and confidential - survey and let us know your needs or print and mail the survey. We hope you will plan to attend this educational seminar. Details will be available this summer.

Free Business Assistance Available from the WBDC at Village Hall Are you a small business or entrepreneur looking for help with business plan development, marketing and outreach strategies, WBE certification or loan assistance? The Village of Hanover Park, in partnership with the Women's Business Development Center (WBDC) - Aurora, NOW hosts office hours at Village Hall (2121 Lake Street Hanover Park, IL) to offer FREE assistance and business advising services to Hanover Park businesses and entrepreneurs.
Office hours are scheduled for the second Tuesday of every month at 11 am, in Room 123 of the Village Hall. Please contact Shubhra Govind at 630-823-5781 for more information. Please Welcome NEFAB Packaging North CentralMayor Craig, Trustee Kunkel, Trustee Shahjahan, Director of Community and Economic Department Shubhra Govind., President Nan Gudenkauf of the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce, Managing Director Gary Maus, Justin Frisch – Move Project Manager, and the entire NEFAB North Central Team attended the ribbon cutting. George Kent had the honor of cutting the ribbon on his last day before retiring from NEFAB.

And the winner is....
DuPage Habitat for Humanity wins Urban Land Institute Vision Award DuPage Habitat for Humanity has been awarded the Urban Land Institute (ULI) 2018 Vision Award for their community revitalization work in the Greenbrook Tanglewood Neighborhood.
The Habitat Plan focuses on four areas: Housing, Family and Education, Clean-up/Green-Up, Jobs and Economic Development. DuPage Habitat recently purchased the vacant property at Court J, and intends to build 27 new market rate townhomes. The Village Development Commission gave conditional approval at the June 14, 2018 meeting.

Welcoming Verandah, Hanover Park’s First Retirement DevelopmentConstruction has begun at 900 Irving Park Road (former Menard's) for a senior housing development. The “Verandah” project will contain town homes, condominiums, memory care and assisted living units. It will be the first senior retirement development in Hanover Park at the corner of Olde Salem Road and Irving Park Road for future commercial use. Amenities include medical services.
Site grading and underground utility work began in mid-March. An entrance drive will be constructed from Olde Salem Road, with the first townhome building (model homes) to be built immediately north of it, and the staging area to be immediately south of the roadway. NFSA Tax Reform InformationThe 2017 Tax Reform Legislation passed by Congress includes two provisions for tax incentives for businesses seeking to retrofit their buildings. This edition of the National Fire Sprinkler Association (NFSA) 2018 Tax Reform Info newsletter includes information on tax incentives for installation of fire sprinkler systems.

Renovations to Village HallThe Village Board approved renovations to the lobby and Finance Department with construction beginning June 25.
There will be customer service changes coming such as the Finance Department will be relocated to the Police Department Community Room. The main entrance will not be available during much of the construction time.
