Edwin Bartlett Plaque

60th Anniversary Fun Fact

Happy Birthday Hanover Park! August 14th marked the 60th anniversary of the incorporation of the Village of Hanover Park.

Edwin Bartlett was a founder of Ontarioville, a crossroads community that served the residents and farmers with a general store, train station, tavern and related businesses. Ontarioville, platted in 1874, was unincorporated until it was annexed by Hanover Park in 1982. This plaque of Edwin Bartlett is displayed in front of the gazebo in Ontarioville Park at 1900 Ontarioville where our 60th Anniversary Corks & Craft festival is being held on September 29th. Stop by and check it out!

Big Read With Us

Hanover Park is partnering with Schaumburg Township District Library in the Big Read program.

The Big Read is a new way to bring us together to talk about families, immigrants, finding yourself in a new place and uncovering your own identity- all through the joy of sharing a good book.

The book selected is The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri which takes a family from their tradition-bound life in Calcutta through their transformation into Americans.
