New Laws for 2019

Did you know the 2019 Mileage rate is now 58 cents?

A new year brings new laws, some of which will have a direct impact on local businesses including State laws for equal pay protections, training requirements, commercial driver safety testing, paid breaks for nursing mothers, and federal tax laws which change rules for Net Operating Loss (NOL), options to pay past due taxes, and mileage rates.

Visit the State Department of Commerce website to learn about new legislation now in effect, track proposed legislation, and provide comments on how proposed legislation would affect your business.

A summary of the 2019 laws is found in the January 2019  State Small Business  Development Center newsletter.
