One of the main goals for Community Development staff is to connect the needs of Hanover Park's existing and future businesses to the organizations who have the resources to turn those needs into reality.  Village staff works with several governments and other organizations whose sole purpose is to assist with the growth and development of your business.  A list of these resources is available below. 


Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce

The Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce now encompasses both Bartlett and Hanover Park.  This Chamber offers many services including: business marketing tools, business after-hours events, networking opportunities, ribbon cutting events and partnering with other neighboring Chambers of Commerce to co-host large business events.  Make sure that your Hanover Park business becomes a member of the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce today. Northwest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

The Village of Hanover Park continues to embrace the diversity of this community by encouraging our businesses to join the various Chambers of Commerce. The Northwest Hispanic Chamber of Commerce encourages, promotes, and advances commerce, trade, business, finance, and professional interests within the Hispanic business community. Members of the Chamber will receive personalized service and increased opportunities to participate in many events such as a Business Expo and events centered around Hispanic Heritage Month. Harper College Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

Harper Community serves part of the Hanover Park community, but the staff at Harper College's SBDC offers assistance to any entrepreneur who is looking to start up a for-profit business in Illinois.  Please click here to see the services offered at Harper College's SBDC.

College of DuPage Center for Entrepreneurship

Schaumburg Township District Library - Business Research Tools

Hanover Park is partially serviced by the Schaumburg Township District Library. Library resources and knowledgeable librarians can help you find information for:

  • Researching stocks and mutual funds;
  • Finding grants;

REV3 Innovation Center

Choose DuPage, DuPage County, Northern Illinois University and other organizations have partnered together to offer future DuPage entrepreneurs a physical space to start and grow a business.  The REV3 Innovation Center, located on NIU's Naperville Campus, is a business incubator facility that offers state-of-the-art spaces and technology to assist with entrepreneurs to develop their ideas, inventions and products.  The goal is to assist entrepreneurs build viable businesses.  REV3 Innovation Center is a wonderful resource for DuPage County.  Please visit their website to find out how this valuable resource can help your ideas become reality.

Fox Valley SCORE and SCORE Chicago

Hanover Park is located within two counties (Cook and DuPage), but small businesses in both counties have access to a wonderful resource, SCORE.  This is a large volunteer organization, made of successful business leaders, that assists small business entrepreneurs with a series of services (many are free)! Polish American Chamber of Commerce

The Polish American Chamber of Commerce is at the forefront of promoting foreign and domestic trade to benefit the members of the Chamber and all potential business members in the state of Illinois. Hanover Park is committed to meeting the needs of new and expanding businesses.  Professional staff expedite permits through a one-stop permit process.  The Hanover Park Business CONECT (Committee on Networking, Education, and Community Teamwork) is dedicated to creating a thriving business environment and promoting economic growth.  To assist firms in business development, the Village has pursued innovative financing programs including tax increment finance districts and special service area financing.  Additional programs which can be considered include industrial revenue bonds, property tax abatement, and sales tax rebates.

Illinois Finance Authority (IFA)

  • Financing Growth...all over Illinois.
  • "We help finance initiatives throughout Illinois that stimulate the economy, create jobs and make a better Illinois for all."
  • The Illinois Finance Authority (IFA) is a self-financed, state authority principally engaged in issuing taxable and tax-exempt bonds, making loans, and investing capital for businesses, non-profit corporations, agriculture and local government units statewide.

Small Business Administration (SBA)

  • The SBA provides funding to small businesses through the 7(a) loan programs.  The SBA has many other programs available including term loans, loan guarantees, short-term credit lines, and low-interest loans.

Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO)

  • DCEO provides many types of financial, technical, and training assistance to Illinois businesses.  DCEO's funding programs include small business loans, minority and women business loans, and a certified lender program.

Accion Chicago

  • Accion Chicago offers alternative lending options and holistic business development services to current business owners and future entrepreneurs. 
  • This organization works with qualified candidates who need small business loans to grow, expand or start-up a new business venture. 
  • Accion Chicago staff also offers a wide range of services to tailor their client's needs to the financial products and services provided.

Women's Business Center- Aurora/Chicago

  • The Women's Business Development Center offers assistance to businesses in the Hanover Park area with offices in the City of Chicago and the City of Aurora with entrepreneurial programs and services. 
  • Their services are offered both in person and online and both in Spanish and English. 
  • One of their premier programs is called ScaleUp where they assist business owners with an "entrepreneurial education curriculum for growth-oriented business owners".
