Economic Development Committee Meeting

The Economic Development Committee works to create an environment to attract and retain quality commercial and industrial business to the Village in order to encourage economic development, increase local sales and real estate revenues, create new employment opportunities, diversify the local economy, enhance the community's image, all of which will benefit Village residents. Members provide valuable assistance in growth of economic development through creative strategies and feedback on business-related regulations. Our focus is to encourage business growth and economic development. Local businesses are welcome to attend EDC meetings to learn about ongoing Village activities. Meeting are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 12:30 p.m. in Room 214 of the Municipal Building. Development Commission - Regular Meeting

Commission Membership Information The Development Commission consists of seven members and three auxiliary members. The auxiliary members are appointed to make sure quorum is met in the case of absentee members. All members are appointed by the Village President and confirmed by the Board of Trustees. One member is named by the Village President as the Chairperson and one as Co-chairperson. Regular members serve a three-year term and auxiliary members serve one-year terms. All members are residents of the Village of Hanover Park. They are trained, interested, or experienced in zoning and land use issues for development.

Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS)

This course is designed to teach the skills of CPR to victims of all ages (including ventilation with a protective barrier device, the use of an AED, the use of a bag valve mask, and foreign-body airway obstruction). This class is intended for Healthcare professionals that work both in and out of a hospital setting, EMT students, nursing school students, childcare/daycare facility employees and DCFS participants. This class meets the requirements set by the American Heart Association, and is required to maintain most Professional Medical Licenses.

Cultural Inclusion and Diversity Committee Meeting

The Cultural Inclusion and Diversity Committee fosters and promotes understanding, mutual respect, cooperation, and positive relations between and among all residents of the Village by creating a sense of shared community among residents and affirming the value of each resident. As an advisory committee to the Village President and Board of Trustees, the goals of the Cultural Inclusion and Diversity Committee are to: Promote social harmony in the Village and to help deter through educational and action programs prejudice, discrimination, and intolerance, and Promote community involvement, partnerships, and initiates by conducting educational or informational programs to address the cultural diversity within the Village, and Identify cultural and social service needs of the residents of the Village and to work with existing entities to address these needs in the most meaningful way.

Water Bill Due Date

Water bills are issued on the 1st day of the month, with payment due on the 21st day of the month. If payment is not received by the initial due date a late charge equal to 10% will be added to the balance. **Failure to receive a bill does not excuse the penalty charge.**

Village Board Meeting

The meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. and continue until the agenda is completed. Regularly scheduled meetings are the first and third Thursday of each month. All meetings are open to the public. Residents can address the Village Board with questions or concerns on issues not on the published agenda during the Townhall portion of the meeting. Residents who wish to address the Village Board during the Townhall Session must register with the Village Clerk prior to the start of the meeting.
